James Second, SE Fifth at NSU Classic

MUSKOGEE, Okla. – Despite a strong finish by Zach James which earned him a second place individual finish, Southeastern slipped on the final day as a team with a final score of 868 over three days to finish fifth at the NSU Golf Classic on Tuesday in Muskogee, Okla.
James carded a 68 in the final round of the tournament to climb from third into second alone with a 207, finishing two shots behind event winner Alexander Hughes from Central Oklahoma.
Sam Berry checked in next after posting a final round 74 to close out the tournament with a 219 to finish tied for 29th.
Hayden Foster fell on tough times in the final round, closing out his tournament with an 82 on Tuesday to slip into a tie for 47th with a 223.
Jordan Holifield checked in next with a 76 in the final round to card a tourney total of 225 and finish tied for 55th.
Cody Darling rounded out the team competitors with a 76 to finish with a 229 in a tie for 73rd.
As individuals, Ruben Figueirido carded a 75 in the final round to finish with a 223 in a tie for 47th, while Cody Reed checked in with a 77 on Tuesday to finish the event with a 229 in a tie for 73rd.
The Savage Storm slipped as a team on the final day from third to fifth after a final round of 294, with the overall score of 868 finishing four shots behind third-place Harding.
UCO won the event with an 848 score, while Arkansas Tech was second with an 852 and Central Missouri finished in a tie for third with Harding with an 864.
