UAM Volleyball sweeps through tri-match in Paragould

Paragould, Ark. - The University of Arkansas at Monticello volleyball team picked up two wins Tuesday on the road as UAM took down Crowley's Ridge and Williams Baptist in straight sets, winning each match 3-0.

Final game scores from the match-up were 25-19, 25-13, and 25-18 in favor of UAM.

Arkansas-Monticello improved to 8-14 overall on the year in the first match of the afternoon.

Crowley's Ridge drops to 6-18 on the year.

Brittany Hamilton and Maggie Pyles each led the UAM offensive attack with 12 kills each.

Kendall Vondra guided the offense as well totaling 25 assists, and one block assist of her own.

Macy Mitchell continued to provide strong defensive play as she tallied 25 digs in the winning effort.

Match 2

Final game scores from the match were 25-11, 25-21, and 25-21 in favor of the Blossoms.

UAM improves to 9-14 overall in 2017 with its second straight win.

Williams Baptist falls to 7-17 overall this season.

Pyles once again led Arkansas-Monticello offensively with 20 kills and a hitting percentage of .385 on 39 total attacks.


Toryn Cox led the Blossoms in assists as she generated 25 overall in the match-up.

Mitchell led UAM in overall digs as she provided 15 total in the match.

Aubrey Harrison also added seven kills, four service aces, and three digs in the winning contest.

UAM returns to the court next on Friday, October 20, as the Blossoms take on the Tigers of East Central in a GAC match-up in Ada, Oklahoma with first serve slated for 6:00 p.m.
