Two women charged with child neglect

Two women from Cherokee are charged with child neglect for failure to report child sexual abuse as well as using and possessing controlled drugs in the home. The women are the mother and grandmother of four girls who are ages 10, 9, 7 and 5.

The grandmother, Robin Renea Hoffer, 52, of Cherokee has been charged with felony child neglect. She is also charged with two misdemeanor counts of possession of controlled dangerous substance, one for marijuana and one for methamphetamine.

The mother, Nicole Elizabeth Hough, 31, of Cherokee has been charged with child neglect, a felony.
