AHS' Gaddy chosen for YLOK

Alva High School junior Landry Gaddy has been selected as a member of the Youth Leadership Oklahoma 2018 class.

A class is selected each year through a competitive process based on proven leadership, geographic, ethnic and cultural diversity. Selected students participate in a week-long trip across the state of Oklahoma where they learn about Oklahoma's history, culture, issues and leaders where they begin to develop a greater understanding and appreciation for our state.

YLOK was created in 2001 with the mission to develop in young leaders who feel hope, pride and a responsibility for Oklahoma's future. Over 850 students have participated in this one of a kind program. Leadership Oklahoma's President and CEO is Marion Paden and the Youth Director for Leadership Oklahoma is Lee Anne Stone.
