Alan Nusser, 79, was elected "Beadles 2018 'Old Cowhand'" by the other residents of Beadles Nursing Home and honored in a brief ceremony following the home's annual Chuck Wagon Dinner.

Alan Nusser was born Dec. 13, 1938, to Charles and Ada Nusser. He had eight siblings, two of which are still living. He went to school in Hopeton until that school closed and continued his education at the Dacoma school. There he met his future wife, Leota, whom he started dating his junior year.
