KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Southern Arkansas Football's Malik Preston was honored nationally on Thursday morning as it was announced that his stellar play in the Muleriders' 28-23 upset win at #7 Harding earned him D2Football.com's Defensive Player of the Week honor.

Preston, the Great American Conference's Defensive Player of the Week, garnered the national accolade after he tallied 16 total tackles, including 13 solo stops and three tackles for loss for 11 yards.
