Football: Storm Fall to #21 Harding

BETHANY, Okla. — Southern Nazarene totaled just 51 yards of offense in a 42-0 loss at home to #21 Harding on Saturday afternoon.

The Bisons (2-1, 2-1 GAC) held the Crimson Storm (1-2, 1-2 GAC) to just five first downs in the game as SNU averaged just 1.09 yards per play. The Storm finished with 45 rushing yards as Gage Porter finished with 18 yards, Alfred Grear with 16, and Jacob Spady with 11. Spady also went 3-for-14 passing and finished with -4 yards through the air.

Harding rushed for 346 yards and finished the game with 367 total yards. They tallied 19 first downs and all six of their touchdowns came on the ground. Myles Roll led the way for SNU on the defensive side of the ball as he finished with eight tackles. Josh Jordan finished with six while Jakel Davis and Ethan Spurlock each tallied five.

Harding got on the board on their opening drive, as they marched 54 yards down the field and punched it in to take the early 7-0 lead. The Bisons added to that lead early in the second quarter by making it 14-0 and took that lead into halftime.


After forcing a three-and-out to start the second half, Harding pushed their lead to 21-0 on a 69 yard run, and scored later in the quarter again to make it 28-0. The Bisons added two more scores in the fourth quarter and cruised from there.
