Football: Tigers Move Up a Pair of Spots in Latest D2football.com Poll

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – A day after being placed No. 4 for by the American Football Coaches Association, the Ouachita Tiger football team has moved up two slots in the latest d2football.com poll to be ranked No. 4 in the nation by the publication.

Ouachita (7-0) defeated Oklahoma Baptist 58-21 on Saturday afternoon to remain undefeated on the season. The 58-point outburst was the most points the Tigers offense has put up this season and the most since the 2015 season.

Both Grand Valley and West Florida were ranked higher than the Tigers last week, both teams lost allowing Ouachita to move into the No. 4 slot. Minnesota State, Ferris State and West Georgia round out the top-three in the poll.

Southern Arkansas drops seven spots in this week's poll to No. 21, while Harding maintains their No. 23 ranking.

Ouachita will have a short week as they take on Southern Nazarene on Thursday evening. The game is scheduled for a 6 p.m. kickoff at Cliff Harris Stadium. For all the latest news on the Ouachita football team log onto obutigers.com.
