SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist's run to the top of the Great American Conference men's basketball standings was temporarily paused as the Bison were beaten 58-57 by visiting Southern Nazarene.

OBU, winners of its last four games, fell to 8-7 overall and into second place in the GAC at 7-2. The Bison share second with SNU. Both teams trail conference leader Southern Arkansas who is 8-1 in its first nine GAC games.

OBU will next play Saturday at 1 p.m. against Northwestern Oklahoma State. Game time is set for 3 p.m at the Noble Complex in Shawnee.
