FFA, 4-H in local livestock show

Freedom 4-H and FFA members showed their pigs, goats, sheep and cattle at the Freedom Local Livestock Show held last week on Feb. 8. Two weeks prior the 4-H and FFA chapter held its annual trophy action and raised over $15,000 to help the students with their expenses throughout their show season.
Results of the Local Show
Gilt Show: Breed Champion went to Rikki Greer for her class one Berkshire; Reserve Champion was also Rikki Greer for her class one Poland.
Barrow Show: Breed Champion belonged to Trenton Welty for his class two Berkshire; Reserve Champion went to Linsy Weber for her class one Berkshire.
The Swine Showmanship award went to Junior Showman Trenton Welty; Intermediate showman was Kaitlynn Rhodes; and Senior Showmen went to Linsy Weber.
Doe Show: Grand Champion went to Shay Wilson and her class one doe; Reserve champion belonged to Annabell Miller and her class three doe.
Wether Goat show: Shay Wilson walked away with both Grand and Reserve championships. She also won the Junior Showmanship Award.
Ewe Show: Grand Champion went to Domynic Link for his commercial ewe; Reserve Champion went to Brandt Lee for his Suffolk ewe.
Wether Lamb Show: Grand Champion went to Lance Bolar for his class one Hampshire; Reserve Champion belonged to Madison Rhodes with her class two Shropshire lamb.
Lamb Showmanship: Brandt Lee won Junior Showmanship award; Jaci Weber won Intermediate Showmanship award; and Linsy Weber won Senior Showmanship award.
Heifer Show: Grand Champion went to Summer Ralston for her Black Angus; Reserve Champion belonged to Jaci Weber for her Maintainer.
Heifer Showmanship: Jaci Weber won Intermediate Showmanship award and Summer Ralston won Senior Showmanship award.
