Woods County Commissioners approve the use of courthouse lawn for Easter Egg Hunt

The agenda for the Woods County commissioners was a bit longer than normal. Warrants, claims and the minutes from the last meeting, held April 1, were approved.

Road crossing permits for SemGas and Targa Pipeline Mid-Continent WestOK LLC were approved, as were monthly reports from the court clerk, treasurer, and sheriff. Hamil, seconded by Smiley, motioned for approval of the reports. The commissioners went on to discuss other regular business like monthly appropriations.

Discussion was held on a bid for a tractor (bid #18-19-12), but it was tabled with no decision.

Next was discussion on the Business Associate Agreement between the county and Group Benefit Services. This agenda item was approved without further discussion.

The commissioners discussed the ODOT Form 324A in the amount of $3,972.50 assigned to 3C Land and Cattle LLC for “P2-0.06 acres of permanent right-of-way, replace 1 large pipe corner, 1 water gap, 1 metal gate, 1 portable electric electric solar panel, 10 wire cattle panels, and 30 LF of 2-strand hot wire.” Payment includes any and all damages of project J2-9782(004), job piece: 29782(04)(06). This item was approved.


The next item was similar. ODOT Form 324A in the amount of $3,872.50 assigned to Chad L. and Danielle F. Budy for P1-0.11 acres of permanent of right-of-way, P1.1 0.23 acres of temporary right way, replace 8 wire cattle panels, replace 1 wire gate, remove and replace 530 LF of 5SBW R/W fence. Payment includes any and all damages project J2-97282(004), job piece: 29782(04)(06). This item was approved.


The commissioners discussed an item titled Removal and Adding of Receiving Officers for the Health Department. They voted to remove Dawn McMurtey and Melissa Thedford and add Rebecca Nuncio.

The county's contract with TM Consulting Inc. for the Woods County Clerk's office for software for FY19-20 was continued and approved. Blanket purchase orders were also approved.

Finally, use of the courthouse lawn for Annual Alva Fire Department Easter Egg Hunt was approved.
