OBU Softball: Dobbs Leads the Offense With Two Home Runs

ADA – Oklahoma Baptist dropped a pair of softball games to East Central Friday to close out the four game series. The Lady Bison fell in game one, 5-3, and game two, 8-5.

In game one OBU had a total of six hits, with Shelby Savage leading the team with two. Katie Long led off the scoring for the Lady Bison with a solo home run. This was Long's first home run of the season. In the top of the fifth Savage hit a double and batted in Aspen Grimes. Later in the inning Tyra Garcia got on base on an error and Savage scored.

In game two, the Lady Bison recorded eight hits. Demi Dobbs and Savage lead the team with two apiece. Dobbs led off the scoring for OBU with a two-run home run. Batting in Franki Hull. Haylee Hall, in the top of the second recorded her first hit of the season batting in Savage. In the top of the third Dobbs blasted another home run. This was Dobbs second of the day and 11th home run this season. McKenna Anderson rounded out the scoring for OBU. Batting in Savage on an RBI single.


OBU begins its final series of the season at Southeastern Oklahoma State on Friday, April 26th, beginning at 2 p.m.
