SWOSU's Gloria Choi Earns Second All-American Honor from WGCA

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – The Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) has announced the 2018-19 Division II All-American awards for NCAA Division II Women's Collegiate Golf and SWOSU senior Gloria Choi earned an Honorable Mention selection for the second time in her four-year career.

Choi, a native of Langley, British Columbia, was also named an Honorable Mention All-American following her sophomore season in 2016-17 and she capped off her career in a big way as a senior. She's already a four-time First Team All-Great American Conference selection and a three-time All-Central Region selection, becoming the first player in program history to accomplish that feat. As a senior, Choi finished in first place at the NSU Classic and the Diffee Ford Invitational while claiming runner-up individual finishes at the Central Regional Championships and the NCAA Division II Women's Golf Championship.

"This is an incredible honor for Gloria and such a great way to conclude her stellar career here at SWOSU," Head Coach Brad Fleetwood said. "She has certainly left her mark on this team and will go down as the most decorated player in program history."

With her selection, Choi becomes SWOSU Women's Golf's first two-time All-American of the NCAA Division II era and she's the fourth player all-time (NCAA & NAIA) to be selected to two All-America teams.
