Mayor Shad Brackin was absent (due to health reasons) from the Freedom Town Board's regular meeting Wednesday, Nov. 13. Board members Rolando Galindo and Randy Rhodes and Town Clerk Cindy Reed soldiered on without him.

After approving the minutes of past meetings, the board approved the purchase orders for the general, fire, and ambulance funds – but there were only two of those: WW EMT (medications and supplies) for $790.92 and G&G Electronics (to replace an antenna) for $49.76.
