Burlington schools recently honored veterans in an assembly on the morning of Veteran's Day. The auditorium was full of decorations and artwork created by the elementary teachers and students.

Burlington seniors led the assembly which started with the Call to Colors, Pledge of Allegiance and "Star Spangled Banner" sung by the junior high and high school choir.

After a prayer of invocation and recognition of veterans, the pre-K through third grade sang a rousing and entertaining rendition of the "Armed Forces Medley." The fourth through sixth grades followed with "America the Beautiful."
