Men's Basketball: Arkansas-Monticello's Early Burst Downs Harding

MONTICELLO, Ark. – Arkansas-Monticello shot 55% in the first half and made eight 3-pointers to pull away early and defeat Harding 104-80 Thursday at the Steelman Field House. It was the Great American Conference opener for both teams.

Arkansas-Monticello (3-1, 1-0) won its third straight game, and snapped Harding's three-game winning streak.

"I thought UAM played great," Harding head coach Jeff Morgan said. "We got off to a good start, but we didn't answer when they made their run."
