No duties, burdens or obligations

Matthew’s gospel presents this invitation from Jesus: “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy-laden, and I will give you rest.” This indicates that Jesus intends that the Christian life should not be a life of duties, burdens and obligations. In fact, just the opposite – Jesus says that Christian life is one of rest. However you may want to define the word rest, it’s certainly not work. The Apostle Paul confirms this idea.
