Dora Jean DeVore was born on September 24, 1929, in Helena, Oklahoma, to Harry B. and Lida V. Frickel Astley. She passed from this life into eternity with Jesus on February 6, 2020. Dora Jean attended country school and Helena High School, graduating in 1948 and Enid General Hospital School of Nursing, graduating with her RN certificate in 1951. She married George F. DeVore on October 19, 1951, and enjoyed over 50 years of marriage before his passing in 2008. Together they had three children, Linda Rhodes of Dacoma, Mike DeVore of Dallas, and Karen (Bo) Horyna of El Dorado, Kansas.
