Alva Ladybugs beat Hooker, Woodward

As the season end nears, the Alva Ladybugs continue to win. In Saturday's game at Hooker, the Ladybugs won 46-38. Tuesday was Senior Night as Alva hosted Woodward, and the Ladybugs won 59-47. The Alva girls are now 21-1 for the season with one more game scheduled next Monday, Feb. 17, at Woodward.

In the game against the Hooker Lady Bulldogs, the Ladybugs were led in scoring by Payton Jones and Lexie Reihm who had 15 points each. Rianna Clark and Chloe Durkee each scored five, Brooke Perez had four and Acacia Charles two. Reihm led the team in rebounds with 11 followed by Clark with nine.

In Tuesday's win against Woodward, Jones led the Alva scoring with 19 followed by Reihm and Charles with 14 each while Durkee had ten.

Next Monday's game at Woodward is a makeup for an earlier game postponed due to weather.

The Ladybugs will begin playoffs on Saturday, Feb. 22, as they take on the Blackwell Lady Maroons at 6:30 p.m. in Alva. The winner will advance to the area playoff at Community Christian in Norman on Thursday, Feb. 27, at 6:30 p.m. with the runner-up playing a Community Christian Feb. 27 at 1:30 p.m.
