2020 Outstanding Graduates named

 

The Northwestern Foundation & Alumni Association is proud to present the Northwestern Oklahoma State University 2020 Outstanding Graduates. The honored alumni will be recognized during the annual Spring Alumni Reunion Banquet on Saturday, April 25, at 6 p.m.

The honored alumni include:

Alexandria Carmon, Arts

Alexandria Carmon, Class of 2016, currently works as a piano/voice teacher while studying classical vocal performance and vocal pedagogy at the University of Central Oklahoma. Carmon has a gift for the arts and it shows through her accomplishments, including performing professionally in several operas.

Rich Cantillon, Business/Professional

Rich Cantillon, Class of 1981, is the president-CEO of the Ponca City Chamber of Commerce. Cantillon has worked tirelessly using his wide range of expertise for the past 20 years to strengthen and develop north central Oklahoma. He was named 2008 Chamber Executive of the Year by the State Chamber of Oklahoma.


Tommi Leach, Education

Tommi Leach, classes of 1976 and 1981, recently retired from the Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education where she served as the Career and Academic Connections academic coordinator. Leach's knowledge of public school operations, career tech education and public school interactions with technology centers helped her to pioneer many projects and improvements in career tech system.

Tricia Mitchell, Humanitarian

Tricia Mitchell, Class of 2013, is currently the executive director of the 4RKids Foundation in Enid. Mitchell has dedicated her life to improving the welfare and safety of those around her. With a heart for those in need, she has spent countless hours in service to others.


Dr. Clay Reed, Ranger Recognition

Dr. Clay Reed, Class of 2013, works as a resident physician at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Reed is passionate about cancer research, participates on many leadership boards and volunteers his time at free clinics. He begins his hematology/oncology fellowship at the National Cancer Institute through the National Institute of Health in Washington, DC, beginning in July 2020.

Greg Bowman, Ranger Spirit

Greg Bowman, Class of 1982, has worked in the transportation and oil and gas industries; now he is the owner of a home repair and remodeling business. Bowman has been an active supporter of all things Northwestern. He is often the head chef of many Ranger meals including Homecoming's Lunch on the Square and Baseball, Hot Dogs & Apple Pie.


Six classes of alumni will also be honored at Spring Alumni Reunion, including 1950, 1960, 1970, 1995, 2010 and 2015. All alumni are encouraged to attend.
