FLAGS FOR EASTER?

The local American Legion placed flags in downtown Alva on April 4. A post on social media states, "We place the flags in hopes of building strength among those in our community. . . Today, we would like it to represent those that are protecting our community during this crisis."

The local American Legion usually places flags in downtown Alva for the patriotic holidays like Veteran's Day or the 4th of July. Post 92 Commander Scotty Cox made the executive decision to place the flags around the square April 4. A post on social media states, "We place the flags in hopes of building strength among those in our community. The flag normally represents all of us who have come forward in times of adversity to defend our nation. Today, we would like it to represent those that are protecting our community during this crisis."...
