Information, knowledge, wisdom: related, but not all the same

 


An article in The American Legion Magazine states that human knowledge doubled every 100 years before the 20th Century; now, it is doubling every 13 months. According to Dan Coats, as director of National Intelligence, “We are awash in data.”

Thanks to the “internet of things,” the amount of information we generate is a problem to store, access and use. Some is worthless, but much is precious, priceless and private.
