It's back to business as usual in Alfalfa County as facilities reopen

 


It was a big day Monday at the Alfalfa County courthouse, as commissioners decided to unlock the doors to the public after being closed since March. (This includes the fairgrounds in Cherokee.) Jay Hague, Stan Tucker and Marvin Woodall chose to go ahead and remove the "COVID-19 concerns/decisions" line item from the agendas as well.

Before taking those actions, the three men signed their usual paperwork: last week's meeting minutes, maintenance and operation payment warrants, and blanket purchase orders. The month's beginning brought with it the monthly officer reports, highway expenditures an...
