AAHN's Place foster care facility again discussed at town meeting in Kiowa

 


An estimated 50 to 60 people attended a town hall meeting at South Barber High School in Kiowa, Kansas, July 8. The subject regarded AAHN's Place, a foster care facility that is two years old in Wellington, Kansas. Now the owner, Derrick Prichard, and his partner, Hamendra Bhakta, want to open a 12 bed facility in Kiowa that would house up to 12 foster care boys age 13-18. They have plans to transform the old Guest Lodge motel into the facility.
