As Kiowa, Kansas, Mayor Bill Watson called the Kiowa City Council Aug. 10 meeting to order, all members were present: President R.L. Simpson, Brian Hill, B.J. Duvall, Tom Wells and Jason Thayer. City Clerk Trish Brewer sat with the council as did City Attorney Brandon Ritcha. Before business was conducted, the group recited the Pledge of Allegiance with Simpson offering a prayer.

This Tuesday Watson told the Newsgram the council has started their second round of interviews as they search for a new city administrator.
