Blood drive slated for Aug. 27

August 20, 2020

Freedom Public Schools will be hosting a community blood drive on Thursday, Aug. 27, from 2 to 6 p.m. The bloodmobile will be parked in front of the school. Every participant who makes an appointment can receive a free COVID-19 antibody test. Antibody testing is available for 16- and 17-year-olds with a parental consent form. The test results will be mailed post-donation.

Masks will be required; masks will be provided, if necessary.

“Gone savin’ lives” is this drive’s motto. All donors will receive a T-shirt and their choice of the following tickets: one entry to the Science Museum, two entries to Safari Joe’s H2O, or one entry to Frontier City.

To schedule an appointment, call Freedom High School (580-621-3272) or Oklahoma Blood Institute at 580-233-9323.
