Large fire leads officials to evacuate tiny Kansas town

NICODEMUS, Kan. (AP) — A large fire sparked by downed power lines led officials to evacuate the tiny northwestern Kansas town of Nicodemus overnight, officials there said.
The fire was sparked by strong winds that knocked down utility poles and power lines Sunday night, television station KSN reported. The fire led to the evacuation of the historic town, according to the Graham County Sheriff's Office. Officials said residents began returning home early Monday morning.
No injuries and no damage to any homes or buildings were immediately reported.
