He married Margaret Lou (Glasgow) on July 23, 1950, in Alva, Oklahoma. He worked as a service manager for various equipment companies over the years. After he retired, Clifford spent his time as a home repair specialist. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Naval Reserve.
