Loretta Maxine Herrmann-Shearer went to her rest in the Lord at the age of 95 on November 18, 2020, in Rush Springs, Oklahoma. Loretta was born September 11, 1925, in Avard, Oklahoma, the daughter of Abraham and Anna Herrmann.

Loretta was preceded in death by her parents, Abraham and Anna Herrmann; husband, John P. Shearer; grandparents, John and Marie Golbek; brothers, Bob Herrmann and Harry Herrmann; sister, Edna Hill; sons, Don Tyrone Shearer, Jon Daniel Shearer, Skip Shearer; and granddaughter, Sara Fackler.

She is survived by her sisters, Peggy Beck of Waynoka, Janice Leatherman of Miami; daughters Victoria Daman (husband Steve Daman) of Spencer, Sherry Shearer of Moore, Gina Cook of Rush Springs, Jackie Birkenheier of Oklahoma City, Penny Lynner (husband Ron Lynner) of Fifty Lakes, Minnesota, Venarae Lennox (husband, Tom) of Clayton, New York; 28 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren, as well as nieces and nephews.

Loretta's ashes will be interned at the Manila Cemetery in Avard, Oklahoma, near her loved ones, with a private graveside memorial service.
