At the May meeting of the South Barber USD #255 Board of Education Monday night, they took action to protest their natural gas bill with Symmetry for February. Superintendent Dr. Mylo Miller said during the arctic blast with sub-zero temperatures, the school's monthly gas bill for February was over $15,000. It's normally $3000 the superintendent said.

The maximum the gas company can charge the school is $4.57/BTU of gas, Miller said. This charge for February was in the neighborhood of $18/BTU of gas.
