March sleet and rising gas prices

 


After 80 degree temperatures earlier in the week, the sleet on Sunday afternoon was a shock. We can certainly use the moisture, but I’m really looking forward to warmer temperatures. Just before the rain began Sunday, there was a loud thunderclap that shook the building where I was working. As the storm progressed, I heard about power lines down and a home north of Alva being struck by lightning. Apparently several people in rural areas of Woods County had power outages.
