Woods County commissioners approve estimate of needs

 


The Woods County commissioners approved temporary appropriations for FY2022-2023 in the amount of $10,087,465.18, which is 80 percent of last year’s budget. Also included was the estimate of needs by department. Chairman Randy McMurphy said this is up slightly from last year, mainly due to employee raises.

The special meeting, rescheduled from Monday, was held Tuesday morning at 10 a.m. in the commissioners’ office. The meeting was moved so County Clerk Shelley Reed who keeps the minutes could attend a family funeral. In addition to McMurphy, Commissioners David Hamil and John Smiley were also...
