Billie Rickard, 89, of Medicine Lodge, Kansas, died Monday, June 6, 2022, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson, Kansas.

She was born January 26, 1933, in Kremlin, Oklahoma, the daughter of Ora Sharkey and Ruby (Hayes) Sharkey. On August 6, 1956, she married Bruce Everett Rickard in Alva, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on November 23, 1997.

Billie was a school teacher for 42 years and graduated from Oklahoma State University. She was a member of the First Christian Church, Medicine Lodge, the Pilot Club, KNEA and the Silver Hair Legislature.
