South Barber USD 255 receives $97,900 grant from KSDE

For mental health services and safe and secure schools

 


A grant from the Kansas State Department of Education has enabled South Barber USD 255 in Kiowa to make the front entrances of their school buildings more secure and hire two state-funded mental health liaisons.

The $97,900 grant from KSDE is for Mental Health Services and Safe and Secure Schools for the 2022-2023 school year.

The two new mental health liaisons are Kori (Leech) Salinas and Heather (Johnson) Miller. Both women are South Barber graduates.
