Cherokee School Board impressed by FCCLA

When the Cherokee School Board metTuesday evening, Sept. 13, they found themselves flanked by a line of red-coated young women.

The FCCLA advisor rose to brag on these "star students," as she called them, noting that they had contributed 9,000 community service hours to Cherokee in the last eight years, along with earning numerous awards.

This group of FCCLA students (as well as Davin Budy, who has moved to Cherokee from Waynoka, and was already a district officer but was participating in a sports event at the time of the board meeting) were all state champions, and the whole group went to San...
