This week at the Alfalfa County commissioners meeting, Nate Ross, Mike Roach, and Garret Johnson took care of the beginning-of-the-month paperwork, including lapsed appropriations for FY 21-22 to FY 23-24 and also FY 22-23 to FY 23-24, as well as those current. They also signed monthly officer reports, highway expenditures, and the allocation of the alcohol beverage tax.

After that, they signed the ACCO-SIG (FY 23-24) option and resolution to execute the agreement establishing the ACCO-SIG, followed by the Alcohol and Drug Testing, Inc. service and price agreement.

Once they signed those, County Clerk Laneta Schwerdtfeger said she received a memorandum from OPERS (Oklahoma Public Employees Retirement System), and though everything had stayed the same, she still wanted it to go through the meeting.

The last several agenda items were routine and gained approval. Those were the transfer of $202 on the GL side only (Fund 1212 EMPG to 1235 EM Donation) and the renewal of a contract between Eastern Oklahoma Youth Services and Alfalfa County for juvenile detention services at Pittsburg County Regional Juvenile Detention Center. Also, the commissioners approved for Schwerdtfeger to go out on surplus bids on two 500-gallon fuel tanks for District 1 (Inv. no. DI 413.101 and DI 413.105), followed by request to change the District 1 receiving officer from Michael Hess to Mitchell Gerber.
