Quiet week for Alfalfa County officials

September 20, 2023

There was little happening at the Alfalfa County commissioners meeting this week. Nate Ross, Mike Roach and Garret Johnson were all present and began the meeting by reviewing and signing the usual paperwork.

After approving the maintenance and operation warrants for payment and blanket purchase orders, they looked over and ultimately signed a letter of choice for country bridge inspection contracts – a resolution concerning bridge inspection responsibility by local government for compliance with national bridge inspection standards.

The three men also signed a resolution to renew the lease purchase with Ally for the 2021 Chevy Colorado truck used by the assessor's office.

Lastly, the commissioners granted a private property access easement in District 3 for the SE¼ of 18-24-10 to remove concrete for placement in washouts.
