The Alva Goldbugs travel to Chandler to take on the Lions tonight in the first round of Class 2A football playoffs. Although it was first announced the game would kick-off at 7:30, the correct time is 7 p.m. (The error was in a rulebook that hadn’t been updated.)

Chandler has an 8-2 record for the season with 6-1 in District 2A-2. They are ranked second in their district. Alva is 5-5 for the season with a District 2A-1 record of 4-3 and a district ranking of third.

For fans traveling to the game, gates will open at 5:30 p.m. Chandler High School is located at 1021 National Drive. The visitor entrance to the stadium is at the southeast end near the south side of the fieldhouse through the parking lot.
