LAWRENCE WEBER

November 29, 2023

Lawrence Weber, an 87-year-old resident of Aline, Oklahoma, peacefully passed away on November 18, 2023, surrounded by his loving family at his home. Born on September 1, 1936, to Henry and Estella Maude (Meliza) Weber, Lawrence was the youngest of three children and was raised on the family farm, known as the Weber Centennial Farm, in Aline.

Lawrence attended Aline Public School, where he was an active participant in FFA, basketball and baseball, graduating with the class of 1954. His dedication to agricultural pursuits earned him the State Farmer Degree in 1954, and he found joy in showing cattle, sheep and pigs during his school years.

On August 14, 1959, Lawrence married the love of his life, Collene Shelite. Their union was blessed with two daughters, Stephanie and Donita, and a son, Mike. Lawrence was a devoted supporter of FFA and 4-H programs, encouraging his children to become involved in livestock projects and showing. He took Mike over to Clarence Waymon’s and purchased a bred Poland China gilt and the raising of show pigs grew from there. A few years later Stephanie and Donita got involved in showing sheep. When a new agriculture education teacher, Larry Moore, came to Aline-Cleo, that’s when Lawrence expanded the family livestock enterprise by setting up Stephanie and Donita with their Hampshire and Southdown breeding ewes and raising sheep. Lawrence's true love and passion lay in farming and caring for livestock.

He was a member of the Aline-Cleo School Board and the Star Cemetery Board; Lawrence demonstrated his commitment to education and community service. He was also an active member of the Aline United Methodist Church. Lawrence’s all-time favorite was spending time with his family and grandchildren.

Lawrence is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Collene (Shelite) Weber, his parents, Henry and Estella Maude (Meliza) Weber, his brother Charles Jake Weber, and his sister Mary (Weber) Fagala.

He is survived by his daughter Stephanie Pullan and husband Randy of Aline; granddaughter, Kayla Pullan of Edmond; grandson, Ryan Pullan and wife Lexie of Cherokee; great-grandchildren, Paxtyn and Rylee Pullan of Cherokee; daughter, Donita Frech and husband Paul of Bixby, grandson, Cody Frech and wife Emily of Broken Arrow; great-grandchildren, Sophie Chastain and Allison Frech of Broken Arrow; granddaughter, Cortney Frech of Bixby; son, Mike Weber and wife Jeannie of Taloga; granddaughter, Connie Smith and husband Rhett of Taloga; great-granddaughter, Raylynn Shoaf and husband Brycen of Taloga; great-great-grandchildren, Tyler and Traycen Shoaf of Taloga; granddaughter, Keri Whitley and husband Brandon of Vici; great-granddaughter, Darcy Whitley of Vici; great-great-granddaughter, Emersyn Whitley of Vici; and a host of other family and friends.

During this difficult time, may Lawrence's family and friends find solace in the memories they shared and the enduring impact of his love, dedication, and contributions to both his family and community. Lawrence's legacy will forever live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know and love him.

Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at the Aline United Methodist Church. Memorial donations are suggested to the Aline Star Cemetery with the funeral home serving as custodian at P.O. Box 15, Fairview, OK 73737.
