Kevin Wilson, 61-year-old Mooreland, Oklahoma, area resident passed away Friday, December 8, 2023, in Hays, Kansas. A visitation with family was held on Wednesday, December 13, and Thursday, December 14, 2023, at the Billings Funeral Home in Woodward, Oklahoma. In the spring when the red bud blooms, family and friends will gather for a celebration of Kevin's life.

Kevin Keith Wilson was born on October 28, 1962, in Hardtner, Kansas, to Rodney Haskell "Jim" and Carol Elaine (Capansky) Wilson. Kevin grew up in Freedom, Oklahoma, attended Freedom Schools, and graduated from Freedom High School in 1980. After graduation, he began his long career in the oil and gas industry. Kevin was united in marriage to Cindy Lintner in 1984. They made their home in the Freedom area. To this union three daughters were born: Trista Elizabeth, Ashley Victoria, and Samantha Kathryn. Kevin and Cindy raised their family in the Freedom and Mooreland areas. At the time of his death Kevin was employed as a Production Supervisor for Hartman Oil Company, Inc.


Kevin loved the outdoors, and he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and trap shooting. He was also known for his cooking ability. He enjoyed spending time with his dogs, and most of all loved his family, especially his grandson.

Kevin is survived by his wife, Cindy Wilson of the home; daughter, Trista Wilson and partner David Skipper of Chicago, Illinois; daughter, Ashley Wilson of Boston, Massachusetts; and daughter, Samantha Richmond and husband Derek of Mooreland; grandson, Oliver Casper Wilson Richmond; expected grandson, Louis Wayne Keith Richmond; brother, Kameron Wilson and wife Regina; sister, Tamara Green; parents-in-law, Gary and Linda Lintner of Mooreland; numerous nieces, nephews, other family and many friends.


He was preceded in death by his parents; step-father, Dale Rohrbaugh; sister, Rhonda Hebert; and brother-in-law, Chad Green.
