During this day was one traffic stop

11:02 a.m. – Medic needed in the 600 block of Magnolia Street for a female who has fallen. Medic took the patient to St. Mary’s Hospital in Enid.

3:42 p.m. – Task force en route to Ellis County for mutual aid.

3:47 p.m. – Medic needed at the Cherokee Inn for a male with a heart issue. Medic took the patient to St. Mary’s Hospital in Enid.

6:54 p.m. – Report of a smoke investigation on Johnson.

5:07 p.m. – Report that Aline Fire Department is putting out hot spots at Aline Blacktop and County Road 500.

6:02 p.m. – Report of a fire north of County Road 710 and Garvin Road.

7:35 p.m. – Report that Aline Fire Department is putting out hot spots at Aline Blacktop and County Rod 490.

8:01 p.m. – Caller advised they could smell methane gas on OK-11 between county roads 640-650. Cherokee Fire Department unable to find smell.


Wednesday, February 28, 2024

5:15 a.m. – Medic needed in the 400 block of Corn for a female having difficulty breathing. Medic took the patient to Bass Hospital in Enid.

10:11 a.m. – Caller advised he had domestic issue that happened at his house on Bryan Road. Advised he had a fist fight with his 18-year-old grandson. Report was taken.

4:24 p.m. – Fire Chief advised someone was burning in city limits and no one told him about it and request the police department to check on it. A call came in about the fire, how it was close to a fence. Cherokee Fire Department en route. CFD advised the fire was out, it was accidental, not a controlled burn.


5:40 p.m. – Officer advised multiple stolen items recovered from location.

7:52 p.m. – Caller advised a lot of smoke was in her garage and coming from the neighbor’s house in the 400 block of 5th Street. Jet Fire Department en route. All was okay.

11:45 p.m. – Medic needed in the 1000 block of Massachusetts for a male. Medic took the patient to Bass Hospital.

7:10 a.m. – Caller advised she locked her keys in her car and it was running.

8:26 a.m. – Welfare check was needed in the 1300 block of Oklahoma. All was okay.

9:15 a.m. – Medic needed at James Crabtree Correctional Center for a male who had congestive heart failure. Medic took the patient to Bass Hospital in Enid.


1:17 p.m. – Medic needed for a female who was dizzy. Medic took the patient to Bass Hospital in Enid.

3:13 p.m. – Medic needed at James Crabtree Correctional Center for a male who has had a stroke. Medic took the patient to Bass Hospital in Enid.

4:58 p.m. – Medic needed in the 300 block of Fairoaks for a female who believes she’s having a heart attack. Medic took the patient to Bass Hospital in Enid.

6:05 p.m. – Medic needed in the 500 block of Kansas for a child who slipped in the bathtub and hit his head. Parent wants him looked at. Medic en route. No transport needed.

9:12 p.m. – Officer out with three suspicious subjects at AEC Services.

During this day were two traffic stops.

2:56 a.m. – Medic needed at James Crabtree Correctional Center for a male having difficulty breathing. Medic took the patient to Bass Hospital in Enid.


6:02 p.m. – Caller advised someone had stolen some farm equipment on County Road 630, and would like to file a report. Deputy advised report was taken.

Saturday, March 2, 2024

During this day was one controlled burn and one report of cattle out.

12:09 a.m. – Medic needed on County Road 640 for a female in pain. Medic took the patient to Bass Hospital in Enid.

12:03 p.m. – Caller advised her son was walking the dog and the neighbor came home and was yelling at him and calling him names. Advised her son is a grown man but is autistic and they can’t do that, because it scares him. Deputy en route location. Deputy advised the homeowners weren’t home at the time.


1:21p.m. – Medic needed for a male on well site who says his face was going numb. Medic took the patient to St. Mary’s Hospital in Enid.

5:06 p.m. – Ellis County requested task force.

7:01 p.m. – Report of vehicle fire one mile south of Carmen. Carmen Fire Department, deputies and OHP en route. OHP advised it was a vehicle accident with property damage. Advised they were looking for the driver.

OHP found subject and had one adult male in custody en route to the sheriff’s office.

Sunday, March 3, 2024

During this day there one report of a controlled burn.

7:20 a.m. – Report of a reckless driver in a semi going east on OK-11. Advised Grant County.

10:01 a.m. – Report of a fire in the front yard in the 300 block of Washington. Cherokee Fire Department en route. Fire was out and all units back at the station.


11:46 a.m. – Report of two young girls riding a four-wheeler on highways 38 and 64, and down the side streets. Deputy spoke with the parents. Deputy spoke with the reporting party.

5:36 a.m. – Reporting party advised his neighbor was harassing him, by riding his motorcycle through his backyard and he’s tired of dealing with. Officer advised.

7:12 p.m. – Caller advised someone was messing with his vehicle again and wanted to talk to a deputy.
