    Alfalfa County's commissioners, Mike Roach, Jay Hague and Marvin Woodall, spent Monday morning awarding six-month bids at their meeting.     An Oklahoma City man is charged with four felony counts after he allegedly attempted to get contraband into James Crabtree Correctional Center (JCCC) in Helena. Daniel J. Goble, 44, of Oklahoma City, is charged with (1) conspiracy, (2) bringing contraband drugs into penal institution, (3) trafficking in illegal drugs and (4) unauthorized entry into prison, all felonies. The trafficking charge carries the highest penalty of imprisonment for 20 years, or a fine of $50,000 to $500,000, or both...

    The Freedom Board of Education met Monday, June 16, with Robert Babcock, Kyle Rhodes and Richard Kirkpatrick present.     The Kiowa Recreation Commission's Chieftain baseball teams are looking good in new uniforms. That's thanks to Jeff Bryan Chevrolet, which donated $1,000 for the new jerseys. Bryan also donated equipment, including backstops, tees for T-ball, baseball bags, etc. Kiowa's Rec Baseball Commissioner Jason Duncan expressed his appreciation to Bryan for the gift.     A woman from Buffalo was injured in a two-vehicle wreck Monday night. Lacy Harmon, 52, of Buffalo, was flown from the scene in stable condition with head, trunk, internal and arm injuries to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City.     PONCA CITY, Okla. (AP) — Police in Ponca City have fatally shot a man who robbed a liquor store., according to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.
