Several misdemeanor bogus check charges were filed in Alfalfa County on Oct. 21. Most involve one check but one man is charged with 18 bad checks.
Donald Ray Savely, 45, of Broken Arrow is charged with writing a $20 bogus check to the Great Salt Plains State Park on Sept. 15, 2015.
Blake Dylan Duke, 21, of Headrick is charged with writing a $392 check to the Cherokee Inn on May 12, 2016.
Douglas Murray, 30, of Cleo Springs is charged with writing a $60.67 check to the Carmen Jiffy Trip on May 12, 2016.
Christopher Lloyd Barnes, 36, of Cherokee is charged with writing a $73.35 check to the Carmen Jiffy Trip on Feb. 2, 2016.
Asa Lee Hawkins, 19, of Carmen is charged with writing five bogus checks in April and May of this year: $77.71 to Carmen Jiffy Trip on April 27; $34.84 to Cherokee Jiffy Trip on May 2; $40 to Carmen Jiffy Trip on April 28; $61.32 to Carmen Jiffy Trip on April 28; and $37.63 to Carmen Jiffy Trip on May 4.
Ronald L. Schlup, 54, of Carmen is charged with the following 18 bogus checks:

• $51.49 to Carmen Jiffy Trip on May 28, 2016
• $90.88 to Carmen Jiffy Trip on May 30, 3016
• 119.57 to Carmen Jiffy Trip on June 1, 2016
• $44.41 to Carmen Jiffy Trip on June 4, 2016

The crime of obtaining cash or merchandise by bogus check, misdemeanor, carries a penalty of up to one year in prison or up to $1,000 or both for each check.
