Lady Bulldogs Have Fourth Quarter Comeback Fall Short in Alva

ALVA, Okla. – SWOSU Women's Basketball fell to Northwestern Oklahoma State 87-80 after trailing by as many as 23 points on the night and found themselves down 18 at the start of the fourth quarter. After cutting the deficit to four with a little more than two minutes to play, the Rangers pulled away to collect the rivalry win.

Entering the game, Northwestern had the lowest field-goal percentage of any team in the GAC shooting just above 34%. The Rangers shot 50% in the first half and ended the night 42% as a team on 31-of-74 overall shooting led by Kori Barrios with 29 points, the most points SWOSU has allowed a single player to score this year.

Hayden Priddy scored a season-high 23 points on the night after only having six points to her credit going into the halftime locker room. Hailey Tucker did most of her damage from the free-throw line, shooting 15-of-18 (83%) from the charity stripe and ending with 21 points and 14 rebounds for her sixth double-double of the season. Savannah Gray stretched the floor for the Lady Dawgs, shooting 3-for-7 from deep on the night with 13 points. Taylor Hedrick came off the bench to give SWOSU 15 minutes of floor time while adding 10 points to the scoresheet.

SWOSU (9-5, 5-3 GAC) will return home on Wednesday to host Southeastern inside the Pioneer Cellular Event Center before hitting the road to Shawnee on Saturday to face Oklahoma Baptist.
