Women's Volleyball: ATU's Eshnaur, Acker honored as GAC Players of the Week

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. - Arkansas Tech senior outside hitter Hunter Eshnaur and sophomore setter Emily Acker have been honored as the Great American Conference Offensive Player and Setter of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday.

Eshnaur tallied a pair of double-doubles, her seventh and eighth of the season as the Golden Suns knocked off Oklahoma Baptist and Southern Nazarene. She posted 18 kills, 17 digs and three blocks in a sweep of the Lady Bison. She amassed 14 kills and 11 digs against the Crimson Storm. She hit .310 in the two victories.

Acker paced the GAC by averaging 13.83 assists per set. In a three-set victory against Oklahoma Baptist, she dished out 44 assists, one shy of the high for a three-set match in the GAC this season. Tech hit .316 for the match. She notched 39 assists and eight digs against Southern Nazarene. The Golden Suns again hit above .300, posting a .303 attack percentage.

Ouachita Baptist's Adrianna Nolly was honored by the GAC as the Defensive Player of the Week.

Arkansas Tech returns to action on Thursday, October 18, facing Henderson State in Arkadelphia.
