Active cases of Covid-19 in Woods County increase to 21

In data released Thursday, Aug. 25, the Oklahoma State Department of Health (OSDH) shows Woods County with 21 active cases of Covid-19. Alva increased from 11 the previous week to 13. Waynoka had zero cases last week but the Thursday report shows eight active cases. A zero means the location has less than five cases. Dacoma and Freedom continue to report zero cases.

Over the last four weeks, the average number of active cases in Woods County was 53. Alfalfa County had 35, Major County 127, Woodward County 122 and Harper County 20.

On Thursday the OSDH reported Oklahoma had 16,238 active cases of Covid-19 statewide compared to 17,830 the previous week.

In counties surrounding Woods County, Buffalo and Cherokee each show zero cases, Fairview has 19 and Woodward 34. Enid in nearby Garfield County is listed with 233 active cases.
