Photos from: Mother's Day flowers

Yvonne Miller

Always an emotional moment during South Barber's commencement, graduates present fresh flowers (in this case, purple tipped white carnations, which is the Class Flower) to their mothers, grandmothers and other special women in their life. Notice the cell phones videoing the touching moment. At left, mother Kay Roberts stands to accept the gift from her daughter Bailey, with dad Steve videoing. On the right side, Grant Cantrell presents one of the flowers to his grandmother Marcia Cantrell. He had just presented one to his other grandmother, Sheryl Farney (seen standing), and mother, Jenny Cantrell. All the while dad Matt ran the video. Grant's uncle Harold Cantrell, one of the biggest Chieftain fans, was in the middle watching it all.
