Salt Fork Designs, which sells custom-designed and handmade jewelry by Garret and Laura Radford and Sharon Brandt -- along with a host of other artwork, pottery, and jewelry by Alva-area artists -- has been in the barn-style building at 140 E. Oklahoma Boulevard since early this year, but only got their sign out front in mid-September. Since that sign went up, business has picked up dramatically. In fact, Laura Radford has put a deadline of Nov. 1 on all new orders for custom work intended for Christmas presents.
