KIOWA CITY ADMINISTRATOR CANDIDATE OBSERVES AT COUNCIL MEETING – The Kiowa City Council is searching for a city administrator. At the November council meeting Monday night, candidate Sam Demel (left) observes, sitting in the administrator's chair. At the end of the meeting Demel met with the council in executive session with no action taken afterward. Mayor Bill Watson (right) confirmed that Demel is searching for the right home before he signs a contract. Demel currently resides in Newton and is an account manager at the Kansas Corporation Commission.
