Head of South Texas school district arrested on drug charge

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas (AP, posted Sept. 5, 2016) — The superintendent of a struggling South Texas school district has been suspended after he was arrested and accused of possessing marijuana.
Premont school district Superintendent Eric Ramos was put on paid administrative leave Friday following his arrest, the Corpus Christi Caller-Times (http://bit.ly/2bOdNZp) reported.
The Duval County Sheriff's Office says Ramos was charged with suspicion of possession of less than two ounces of marijuana following a routine traffic stop Thursday evening.
